CONSOLE TABLE STYLING

I have had this table since we moved into the new house. It was my great-grandmother's and my mom had it in her home for a long time, so, there's an element of sentimental value to it.

I love the height it is, I love the color and the lines, and I love that there is another space I get to decorate.

If you have an entry table or sofa table or even a buffet you're struggling to style, maybe you can grab an idea or two from this post.

Since mine is not being used as a sofa table, but more of a console table that stands alone, I needed a good art piece that is large enough to take up the background, but not so busy or dramatic that it overwhelms the table decor. This tapestry was gifted to me as a Christmas gift from my mom and I love it so much. An unexpected look in my home. The tapestry sets the stage for the rest of the decor with the complete neutral look and effortless feel

I had this stoneware lamp I thrifted a while ago and I added the vintage rattan shade I found at a flea market (it was on another lamp base for $20, but I donated the base and kept the shade--these shades are crazy expensive!). To balance the wicker style and texture, I added this wicker candle holder to the other end and dropped a battery operated candle in it.

To fill the space between, I grabbed one of my favorite houseplants and some books. Then, I hung this sweet bird picture (painted on leaves!) on the books for even more dimension and tone.

Most of the items I have in this shot are thrifted or second hand from a flea market! I believe you can create truly one-of-a-kind looks by using pre-loved items!

I hope this space will inspire you to recreate it using some of your own favorite pieces! If you do, be sure and tag me on Instagram--I'd love to see!
