I mean, I just couldn't stay away from the keyboard I guess...
After trying a couple of years ago and losing everything due to some weird back up; and trying a SECOND time after that (only to throw my hands up in defeat because I felt I couldn't "keep up")-- I'M BACK!
I truly love writing and have learned in the last year to go at MY pace. Not trying to keep up with what the full time bloggers do, but do what I can do. I feel like in the last year I've really realized my dreams and goals and what drives me to achieve those things. I've taken a step back from the need to do what every one else is doing (you can get sucked into that real quick!) and instead cultivating what makes me happy.
I encourage you to do the same.
So, in case you're wondering who I am and what it is I am doing with this space--let's dive in.
My name is Tessa. I'm a 31 year old wife of 14 years and mother of two fantastic boys. We live out in the countryside of small town USA in the Arkansas River Valley. I am a marketer for a home health agency and am trying to get a small side business off the ground (Country & Cottage Decorating Co.). My husband and I have recently discovered we love our "small farm" (we only have some chickens, two dogs, and a garden--but it's a start!). Lately, I love the thought of slow living. Living off the land. Working the ground. Reaping, canning, preserving--all the things. So, hopefully, I'll be sharing with you what I learn as I learn it!
I hope this space will provide some sort of encouragement for you. I'm hopeful to inspire you with photos of decorated spaces, DIY's, and thrifted finds, but I also hope you're inspired to slow down a minute and live the good life. Take in every second--the good and the bad, the joyous and the painful. Take it in and grow from it.
I am in no way committing to daily blogs (I can't even say for sure I can do every week!), but it will all be at a pace I can keep up with and I hope you can stick around to see all that unfold.
