America’s birthday is coming up and we love to celebrate! And I also love to decorate for the occasion. I don’t drape every corner of my home in red, white and blue Americana (not that there’s anything wrong with that—it’s just not my style), but I do like to add Little touches here and there. Below, I am sharing simple, inexpensive ways to add Americana to your home this week. 1.) Mini Flags
It may seem like a simple concept, but I think it gets overlooked so often. Adding mini flags to any space adds great 4th of July charm.
In your plants, empty vessels, on a wreath—there are so many possibilities. And don’t be afraid to use multiple in one area. I like groups of two or three to give more dimension and character to a space.
2.) Bunting
Again—kind of a gimme, but adding bunting to the front of your home gives your curb appeal that old world, American feel.
I bought mine at Hobby Lobby and they were easy to attach to my railing with string.
3.) Florals
I am a sucker for a floral arrangement of any kind, but one that fits the festive theme?? Yes, please!
I grabbed all of these (except the greenery pieces, but they were only $4) on clearance at Kroger! I knew I wanted mostly white with a little pop of red and I was able to achieve just that!
Very, very simple things you can do, but they can make the biggest difference in your space!
I hope you have been inspired by some of these to throw out your own version and add some fun to your home this week!
Happy 4th!
